Image-guided interventions are designed to be precise and minimally invasive, yet many procedures today still rely on iterative workflows that interrupt clinical flow and introduce uncertainty. In CT-guided biopsies and ablations, clinicians often perform multiple scan, adjust cycles to confirm needle placement before reaching the target. This can increase procedure time, radiation exposure, and procedural complexity for both clinicians and patients.While effective, this workflow can be time-consuming, leads to increased exposure to radiation for the patient, and is physically disruptive for the physician, particularly in complex anatomies or difficult access paths. We believe better technology should remove uncertainty from care not add to it.

This project demonstrates how strategic collaboration accelerates innovation in image-guided treatments. We combine complementary expertise in robotics, tracking, and medical devices into one integrated development approach. Starting from a shared clinical challenge, we co-develop solutions that seamlessly connect hardware, software, and workflow. Where relevant, our team supports engineering consulting and medical device consulting to speed decision making and reduce risk.
Together with NDI and CIVCO Medical Solutions, we are collaborating on an integrated platform to demonstrate how accuracy, safety, and workflow efficiency can come together in one image-guided solution. Combining robotic needle positioning, real-time electromagnetic tracking, and clinically proven procedural interfaces, the solution aims to reduce needle passes, radiation exposure, and procedure time while boosting clinician confidence.This system is just one showcase of what’s possible. More importantly, it proves that together we have all the building blocks to turn bold ideas in image-guided treatments into real clinical impact for intervention radiology and beyond.
